Starting with the location. Overlooking the Campsie Hills and views across to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, and perfectly located centrally for both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the views and scenery are… impossible to do justice to in words. The bedrooms brim with wonderfulness. The Westerwood Spa is a luxury spa where they offer a wide selection of treatments and packages to suit all individual needs and requirements to make spa days special. It is a relaxation sensation and the state-of-the-art leisure club is well-equipped for dynamic workouts.

The grounds are pretty special too, and we don’t just mean the championship golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros, that’s so challenging we only get a single hole in one a year.

The things we’re most proud of, however, are the staff, quirks and all. Three of them have been looking after guests here for nearly 50 years. Two of them are members of royalty. Five of them walked over hot coals for a spina bifida charity. One of them sings opera in the cellar. Their passion and dedication is only surpassed by their friendliness.
