Get the Royal treatment at the Vale Resort

Wales’ largest spa is launching a package of unique treatments to help clients celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in Royal style.

The Diamond Jubilee package is a one-off collection of three treatments that have been designed and created by spa experts at the Vale to celebrate the Queen’s 60-year reign.

The Floral Melt Indulgence body massage treatment is inspired by traditionally British rose and violet creams to make for an indulgent experience. Starting with a body dust off with rose petals, the treatment develops to a massage using luxury warm candle oils of rose or cacao flower .  A small fragrance gift is also given as a momento of the experience to make the perfect finishing touch.

The Rose Honey treatment is inspired by a warm summer evening in a fragrant country garden. A nourishing and softly-scented pink (non-sticky) honey gloss elixir is applied evenly to the body to enhance the skin’s appearance before a calming body massage.

The All that Glisters pampering treatment for hands and feet is developed to recreate the illusion of rays of summer sunshine across a beautiful British landscape. A massage using a liquid gold infusion gives skin a shimmering glow, while the Royal treatment continues with a full manicure or pedicure, finished with a nail polish in a rosy colour of your choice.

All of the treatments have been designed and created by the Vale’s spa manager, Claire Caddick, who has worked in conjunction with product houses to develop something that is unique to the Vale Resort.

Claire Caddick, spa and leisure manager at the Vale Resort, said: “We want to ensure that we offer something a little different for our clients, which is why we work hard using more than 20 years of in-house expertise to develop treatments that are unique to the Vale. It means that our menu of treatments is constantly fresh and exciting, and clients who come here know that they are getting something a little bit special which isn’t available elsewhere.

“It also means that we can develop treatments to celebrate certain events in our calendar – and what better way to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee than to be treated like royalty by indulging in some luxurious pampering.”

The Vale Spa underwent a £250,000 refurbishment last year, which enabled the launch of a number of exclusive new features, such as its four relaxation zones, which are designed specifically to extend clients’ spa visits, improving the treatment experience and creating a stress-free environment.

The new facilities saw the Resort come runners up in the Professional Beauty Awards 2012 ‘Residential Spa of the Year’ and it became the only spa in Wales to achieve a five-bubble rating from the Good Spa Guide, the highest rating of its kind.

The Vale Spa has also opened its own Chai Cafe and funky reception area, which also offers boutique shopping, complimenting the Resort’s existing 19 luxury treatment rooms, floatation tank, hydrotherapy bath, 20m swimming pool, Jacuzzi and steam room.

Ms Caddick continued: “Although we’re thrilled to be able to offer these new treatments, we’re still acutely aware of making sure the spa experience as a whole is the best it can be. Our recent revamp means that our facilities enable the client to enjoy longer treatments through breaking them up with sessions of relaxation, which makes them much more beneficial overall.”
